I love updating my nail polish collection each season. I also love painting my own nails, I occasionally go to a salon but I think its an easy thing to cut out of your budget if you are trying to watch your money. Just grab a glass of wine and turn on your favorite show and pick out a color. I love the white/blush nail trend as does everyone, but I also sometimes love a fun color on my nails especially for summer. Which color is your favorite?
I had so much fun putting this post together, I love playing with makeup and all things beauty. I got this adorable Tory Burch cosmetic bag as a graduation present. I had been wanting a nice designer cosmetic bag, perfect to throw in my purse to keep all my daily touch up necessities. I had been eyeing the LV one forever, but $700 for a cosmetic bag just wasn’t something I was ready to do. This bag is a great size, it is able to fit many full size products and easily zip while also not taking up my entire purse. I love the patent blush material on the outside, it is not only cute but practical since patent leather is easy to clean. Only my most trusted beauty products make it into my cosmetic bag, because I need to be able to rely on these babies to perform. I hope you enjoy this post and comment down bellow if you would be interested in seeing a what’s in my purse post?
This liquid lipstick (soft coral) is a must for all-day no smudge wear. I apply a light layer and really make sure I outlined my lips well, wait 30-60 seconds and then apply a second layer to really build up the color intensity. After that I am set all day no touch ups needed.
I know spring is all about the pinks and corals but sometimes you just need a great red lip. I love this one (#13)because it is a orangie red so it still looks really bright and fresh. This is one of my “investment” lipsticks but the packaging is reason enough to make you want to buy it.
This gloss is #bae ! This is the first Buxom gloss (berry blast) I have tried and it has quickly become my favorite. There is great color payoff and I love the plumping feature, it is not aggravating at all of my lips but makes them look amazing.
Mac lipsticks are a staple in my collection. The one to the left (pink nouveau) is my signature color I have multiples and keep them in my purse and also where I get ready. It is the perfect shade of pink, it is bright enough to make a statement but also I consider is neutral enough to wear with almost anything. The color the the right (pink pigeon) it a much brighter pink that is supper fun!
This is such a pretty sheer gloss, the color is called princess so it pretty much had me there.
Chanel is one of my favorite luxury lip brands. The lipstick to the left is a pretty sheer coral (46) that is perfect to keep in your purse because it will go with any look. This gloss (87) is a great natural that can go with about any lipstick. The lipstick on the right (152) is a more pigmented bright coral, perfect for spring.
I love all of the oh sugar lipsticks from covergirl. They are a great sheer wash of color of everyday ear.
Spring is in the air which means fun and flirty dresses, cute shorts, and sassy tank tops. Only problem now is my skin is dry and lifeless after a long winter. Today I am teaming up with St.Ives to share my tips for getting your skin ready for spring.
1.Exfoliate: this is the first step it getting some life back into your skin. Exfoliating helps remove dead dull skin and leaves your body with a fresh layer of new radiant skin to show off for spring. I enjoy exfoliating my entire body, not just my face. The new St.Ives oatmeal body exfoliate is great to use all over your body it is made with 100% natural exfoliants (walnut shell and hydrated silica), oatmeal (known for its nourishing and conditioning benefits), honey and glycerin. This is a gentle scrub that can be used daily and will not irritate sensitive skin like mine. I exfoliate my legs right before I shave (I have rather dark and course hair on my legs) so this allows me to get a nice close shave that will last though out the day. Also if you are ever planning on getting a spray tan, I suggest exfoliating before it helps the tan last longer and apply evenly.
2. Lather up: I love soaping up, I use way more then needed but hey I enjoy it. I like to use a nice hydrating lotion in the shower because despite how ironic it sounds water dries out your skin so you need to add back in that moisture.
3. Shaving: new season new razor. It is important that you replace your razor/razor blade often so that it stays fresh and sharp, this will give you a close shave with out irritating your skin. I have very sensitive skin so I prefer to use those little pink disposable razors that are supper cheap but replace them every few days. like I said earlier I always exfoliate my legs before shaving I find this gives me the best shave that will last. I shave with either regular shaving gel or coconut oil which leaves your legs soft and hydrated.
4. Lotion: this is one of my favorite parts of my skincare routine. The St.Ives oatmeal lotion leaves my skin feeling light, fresh, and radiant it is made with 100% natural moisturizers including shea butter and glycerin. Some thick body butters are great for cracked dry feet but are too rich for your entire body. I love the St.Ives body lotion because it hydrates with out leaving you skin feeling sticky.
Masting a long wearing makeup routine takes a lot of time and practice. I am very pleased with the full coverage all day makeup routine I have to share with yall today. I have been a fan of all of these items for quite some time now and truly feel that they are amazing and worth trying if you are not currently happy with your makeup routine.
