I feel like at this point we all know how important it is to take care of our skin. But actually acting on that knowledge is a whole other thing. Three years ago I made it my resolution for the year to wash my face every night before I went to bed. I was in college at the time and often fell asleep with my makeup on, and I knew it wasn’t good for my skin. I did keep to that resolution of washing my face every evening. Then last year I added in that I also needed to wash my face every morning, which I did really well with. I have tried a lot of different products over the years and have finally landed on a routine that works really well for my skin.
Morning Skincare Routine
I start off with washing my face in the morning with this cleanser. Then I use this toner, I let it soak into my face for a minute before applying my moisturizer. Lastly my go to lip balm I swear by this stuff! If I am having any breakouts his is the acne treatment I use.
Night Skincare Routine
I usually take a shower in the evening so that is also when I wash my face. I use this cleanser to get my makeup off. Then I use this scrub 4-5 times a week it is amazing for stress related acne, and then the other days I use this scrub because it is a little more exfoliating so I try not to use it more then twice a week. After I get out of the shower I apply toner, let that set in for a minute. Lastly apply a healthy layer of this moisturizer and then lip balm. If I am having any breakouts his is the acne treatment I use.
Body Skincare Routine
I thought it would also be fun to share my skincare routine for the rest of my body, since that is like 90% of me haha. First I like to exfoliate my skin, especially if I plan on shaving, such a great trick to get a clean close shave. I have been using this Dove soap for years, it is so moisturizing, I highly recommend trying it. Lastly after I get out of the shower I lather on the lotion, I hate the feeling of dry skin before I go to bed.
