Bar carts are all the trend right now. I think they are such a cute way to be able to display your favorite drink wear, and any other fun bar accessories. Neither Matt or I are big drinkers, but we try to stay decently stocked for guests. Growing up I lived in several home that had a bar or wet bar. Neither of my parents drink so we never really utilized or decorated the space. I feel like you don’t have to drink to have a fun bar car area though. You could create a great soda station for kids. Or make a desert cart, which is what my dad would vote for. There are so many different ways you can decorate it! I have also seen in large master baths where they decorate a bar cart with spa supplies (yes please).
When bar carts starting becoming such a fad I feel like they were so over priced ($800+). Now so many companies have caught on to this trend, so you can find many cute ones like the one above for $200-$300. I think the trick to achieving a stylish bar cart is keeping things fun. Also choose a color pallet, all gold and glitzy? Or do you want to be fun and colorful. Choose a variety of drink wear, for visual interest. And don’t forget some sassy napkins. I love making cocktails so a shaker was a must for me. See my lemon ginger tea lemon drop recipe here. What are some of your favorite drinks to make when your friends come over?
