My first little project was this holiday candle lantern. I got my inspiration for this piece from a lantern I saw at At Home that was $80 and I just knew I could recreate it myself for a better price. I got my lantern, garland, and candle from Hobby Lobby but I am linking some great affordable options below that will get you the same look. I just wrapped the wire from the garland around the top of the lantern, no glue needed. Then for the garland inside of the lantern I just wrapped the wire of 4 small garland swags together and placed the candle in the middle. This was such a easy little DIY project it took me less then 30 minutes. I also love that I was able to do this all with out having to glue anything to the lantern so I can use it as decor in my home all year long and switch up how I decorate it.
Cute affordable lanterns:
My second little DIY project was for outside of the home. I got a set of two little pre-light Christmas trees from Walmart, I think the set was only $30 (sorry I couldn’t find a link). I wanted them to have a frosted snowy look so I also picked up a can of snow. To keep the spray snow from covering the lights no the tree we wrapped them in painters tape, it worked very well. I only did one coat of snow in the photos but am thinking now I want to go back and do a second coat. I did find a pretty 2 foot flocked tree that would look great you can put it in a base like mine to give it a little extra height.
To finish off our holiday decorating we found a pretty flocked wreath, we got ours at Walmart I want to say it was around $25. We got something because we really wanted to decorate but it is honestly not my absolute favorite bellow I am linking a few wreaths I am eyeing that are all under $45.
