A few weeks ago I shared how I make lattes at homes on my Instagram stories, and yall went crazy over it. I plan on sharing several different coffee recipes with yall over time, but today I am starting with my favorite iced latte. For starters let me give you a run down on my espresso machine. I purchased this Breville machine a little over a year ago after I calculated how much money I was spending on Starbucks. I know the machine looks a bit pricy, but when you do the math on how many thousands (yes thousands) of dollars you probably spend on coffee in a year, the price no longer seams so bad. With my machine I am able to ground fresh espresso beans, brew single or double shots of espresso, along with frothing milk.
I use the exact same Starbucks espresso beans that they use in the store, so I am literally drinking my same favorite drinks at home for a fraction of the price. I would say a bag of beans lasts me about 2 months.
Now to my favorite drink, a iced caramel vanilla latte. I start off with drizzling some of this caramel sauce on the insides of my glass. Then I about add 1 1/2 cups of ice.
Next add 2 cups of Milk, I use 2% milk but you can use what ever you prefer. I then add 4 pumps of Starbucks vanilla flavoring. Starbucks usually puts 5 pumps in a venti (which is the size I am making) so if you want your drink sweater add an extra pump or two.
I then add my double shot of espresso on top. How easy was that? It is so delicious yall, you must give it a try!
