Contouring is not always as easy as the big YouTubers seam to make it look. They just casually buff on a flawless contour and fake lashes and call it a day. I usually contour/bronze with this powder, which I like but exactly give me that “Instagram contour”. When I saw these all in one contour sticks from physicians formula I knew I had to try them out.
Magic Contour Stick
Both the bronze and the blush sticks have a ombre of different shades to help with blending. I started by applying one of my go to foundations from the drug store. I set me under eyes with just a little loose powder. But made sure not to set the rest of my face since we are contouring with cream products. On one side of my face I directly applied the stick (see photo above). I honestly felt it blended out great with this brush. On the other side of my face I put the products on my brush, and then applied to my face. This also blended well, but lost the ombre effect. I did not notice any patching or rubbing off of my foundation when I applied the stick directly to my face. I also applied the bronze stick to the top of my forehead, and anywhere else you like to contour.
I then applied the blush stick on the apples of my cheeks and back toward my temples. Once again I applied half directly onto my face and the other half I applied to my brush first. I think both methods work well. However just like with the bronze stick when applying to the brush you do loose the ombre effect. The cream settles into the skin nicely and does not leave a sticky feeling, nor feel heavy on the skin.
