Sadly as much as I wanted these Tory Burch “wide-calf” boots to work out for me, they did not (in black here). I do have rather wide calves, but they were no where close to fitting. For reference my calves measure 19 inches at their widest. I have been dreaming of owning Tory Burch riding boots for years, hoping they would come out with a wide calf version. Which they finally did, but sadly did me no good. They are not cheap, so I wanted to share my experience for other girls like me who have always wanted them, but thought their calves would not fit. Don’t get down though I am about to share with you my favorite wide calf boots that do fit my 19 inch calves!
My Favorite Wide Calf Ridding Boot
Tommy Hilfiger has been my go to boot brand for 3 years now. They have a nice (not cheap looking) band of elastic all the way down the back of the boot. Which really allows the boot to fit almost any calf size (mine are 19 inches). I got last years style in brown, so I wanted to get this years in black. Here is another Tommy Hilfiger wide calf style that is a little more affordable.
My Favorite Wide Calf Rain Boot
I love the look of Hunter boots, they are so cute. Sadly it took me a long time to find a style that actually fit my wide calves. I have tried all of their styles, including ones labeled for wide calves (they did not work for me). These short adjustable back Hunter boots fit perfect though!
Favorite Wide Calf Over The Knee Boots
Wide calf boots seem to be all the craze this fall. It can be hard finding a wide calf over the knee boot that is still looks classy. I love these heeled taupe suede over the knee boots (low in stock, here is a similar wide calf pair here). I am personally not a big heels girl though, I prefer flats. So these black suede over the knee boots can really dress up an outfit, but still offer comfort.
